Properties: It is waxy solid, odorless. Its melting point is 28-32°C, the specific gravity (20°C) is 0.895. It is insoluble in water and easy to soluble in toluene etc.
Uses:
The product is a kind of hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS). It is mainly used as UV light stabilizers for follow materials: thermoplastic polymer materials such as polyacetals, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS), styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer (SAN) , and such as engineering plastics polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyamides (PA), acrylonitrile-styrene- acrylate copolymer (ASA) and high impact polystyrene (HIPS), and other thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer (TPO), polyurethanes (PU) etc. and it is widely used in fiber, film, sheet, pipe, tape, molded and the like product maded from the above materials. In addition, this product is also an antioxidant additives for ashless lubricant.
The additive amount of UV3853 is suggested in 0.1-3.0%.
The product has the following characteristics: 1) It has good synergistic effect with other hindered amine light stabilizers, especially the one with high molecular weight (for example 944, 119) and benzoate UV absorbers (for example UV328). 2) It can make the color stability, gloss retention and durability of polyolefin-based product are very good. 3) Compared with other low molecular weight hindered amine light stabilizers, it has good compatibility and solubility with polyolefin.
