PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
BPOD hydrolyzes very rapidly with water to form phenylphosphonic acid. The two reactive chlorine
atoms are capable of reacting with alcohols, phenols, and amines to form the corresponding neutral esters and
amides.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
Intermediate in organic synthesis for end products such as flame retardants and plasticizers for the
anti-foaming agents, antioxidants, oil additives, and extreme pressure lubricants. Acidic inhibitor for urethane
binders for foundry molds.
